PKR invoice sample: show the sale, payment and remaining balance clearly
A useful invoice lets a customer check what they bought, the agreed price and what remains to be paid. This worked example shows a small product sale with a discount and partial payment. The business, customer and amounts below are fictional demonstration data.

How the totals are calculated
- Multiply quantity by unit price for each line: 2 × PKR 150 = PKR 300, and 3 × PKR 100 = PKR 300.
- Add the line amounts: PKR 300 + PKR 300 = PKR 600 subtotal.
- Subtract the agreed PKR 50 discount: the invoice total is PKR 550. No tax is included in this demonstration.
- Record the actual PKR 200 payment separately: PKR 550 − PKR 200 = PKR 350 balance due.
Do not reduce an item's price just to show that the customer paid part of the invoice. Keep the sale total and the payment separate so the outstanding balance remains understandable.
What should your invoice include?
- Your business name and the business contact details customers should use.
- A unique invoice number, invoice date and the customer's name or reference.
- Clear item or service descriptions, quantities, unit prices and currency.
- Any agreed discount and applicable tax details, shown accurately.
- The final total, recorded payments and remaining balance.
- Agreed due date or payment terms, if applicable.
This is a general record-keeping example. It does not certify compliance with a particular tax invoice requirement; add the information applicable to your business.
What changes for a service invoice without inventory?
The arithmetic stays the same. Replace the product lines with descriptions of the work. For example, a PKR 2,000 design service plus PKR 1,500 setup work totals PKR 3,500 before discounts or tax. If PKR 1,000 has been received, the balance is PKR 2,500.
In Scaleup92, choose Simple invoice — without stock when inventory tracking is not needed. For product sales that need stock movements, use the inventory invoice workflow. Both types count toward the same monthly invoice allowance.
Total bill aur wasool shuda payment alag rakhein. Is sample mein bill PKR 550 hai, payment PKR 200 hai aur baqi PKR 350 hain. Stock ke baghair service ka bill banane ke liye simple invoice chunein.
Invoice, quotation or receipt?
A quotation proposes the items and prices before a sale is confirmed. An invoice records the amount billed for the sale. A receipt acknowledges money received. When a customer pays partially, keep a clear payment record alongside the invoice instead of treating the whole invoice as fully paid.
Check before sharing
Preview the invoice and check the customer, currency, quantities, rates and balance. Use fictional records for practice. For real customer documents, share only the information needed for the sale and keep a backup of your business records.
